Serenity Forge has announced the winners of its 2016 game jam, and they’re a spectacular bunch.

The Choice Award goes to Homecoming by @LeanneCTaylor. It’s a look at how leaving behind what we own affects who we are.

The Jury Award goes to Enthymema, by @AlaynaMCole, an experience that encourages you to make choices and participate in self-reflection.

The Audience Awards go to It’s Okay by akanyegudran, and Moments, by @David_Jagneaux and @yaaarkz. It’s Okay is an artistic representation of its creator’s thoughts the day their mother died. Moments is a short, interactive story about reflecting on the small moments in life.

Finally, the Take This Award for Mental Health goes to near AWAY, by @ngelLuisSucasas and @Ludipe. Here is its description:

Some wounds need time to heal. Recovering from them is like a journey, one you don’t finish until the scars are gone.
Out there in the sea, land shows up only when sailors are ready to return.
Will you find a way home?

Congratulations to all the winners, and everyone who set out to make games that best represented the theme of healing. You can find the full list of winners on the game jam site, including many deserving honorable mentions. Award winners will take home a prize pack that includes the following prizes:

  • Official Serenity Forge Game Jam 2016 Award Certificate
  • Take This Hoodie
  • Take This Pin
  • Take This Box of Hope
  • XSplit License per Team Member

You can play all the entries at GameJolt. Everyone who participated did a great job, so be sure to take a look!
