A couple weeks ago, we brought you news of the Self-Care Jam, a game jam described by its host, Jessica Hayley, as “no competition, no risk, and no pressure, just go make some positive things.” That sounded just great to us. Apparently it also did to a lot of others, because 37 entries were submitted this no-pressure project.
Many of them are gentle, soothing games that explore the possibilities of self-care. It’s A Beautiful Day goes through a simple, comforting morning routine. Self-Love Hotel is about loving yourself in an entirely platonic manner. Crystal Key lets you summon a demon for self-care advice.
And those are just a handful of the entries that you can explore. You can also find zines, music, Twitter bots — all sorts of delightful little creations. Taking time for yourself is an important part of self-care, so why not wander a while and see what you can find?
