How to Help Us Support Devs and Gamers at PAX South

PAX South is just a few weeks away. Are you going to be there, or will you be in the San Antonio area on January 27-29? Want to help our mission to fight stigma in the gaming community and make the convention a better time for attendees with mental health issues? Come help us out!

We’re looking for more people to join the wonderful volunteers at our booth and in the AFK Room. Both are important parts of our PAX South presence. Volunteering at our booth involves things like helping visitors with their purchases and giving them information about Take This. For the AFK Room, we’re particularly looking for any mental health clinicians and students who are — or want to be — involved with the gaming community.

If you’re interested in volunteering for the AFK Room, please tell us a bit about yourself— and please include your name, the dates and times you’re not available during PAX South (Jan. 27 – 29), degrees and licensure status. If you’d like to volunteer at our booth, please fill out the form at this link.

If you can’t make it to the show but you want to support our efforts there, you can help us meet the needs of attendees by buying something off our Amazon Wish List (you can select Take This as your Amazon Smile charity of choice to support us with the purchase, too). Donations can also help us with the costs of running an AFK Room.

We truly appreciate your help. It’s dangerous to go alone, after all, and we couldn’t offer the support we give convention-goers without you.
