Fear and anxiety aren’t always bad things. Anxiety on its own can be a very sensible response to danger, part of your body’s natural defenses. But when it keeps you from enjoying safe, everyday experiences, it can be a problem — and that’s when it has the potential to be diagnosed as a disorder.
