Indie Allies for Impact Bundle Launches on itch.io to Support Mental Health and Game Developer Communities

By  Take This · November 25th, 2025 · Announcements, Video Games

Take This and the IGDA Foundation are teaming up to launch the Indie Allies for Impact Bundle on itch.io, bringing together a global collection of indie games in support of mental health resources and career development within the games industry. The bundle will be available beginning Monday, November 17.

Indie allies for impact

The Indie Allies for Impact Bundle features 41 titles from developers around the world with a combined value of 72 dollars. Supporters can access the full collection for 12 dollars, with proceeds shared equally between Take This and the IGDA Foundation. Every purchase helps expand critical programs that strengthen the gaming community and ensure both players and creators have access to the support they need.

Take This provides mental health education, resources, and safer spaces throughout the gaming industry. This includes programs like AFK Quiet Rooms at major conventions, the Accelerate mentorship program for early career professionals, and workshops and trainings for gaming studios. The IGDA Foundation supports and empowers underrepresented and early career game developers around the world by offering mentorship, training, and opportunities that help break down barriers to entry. Together, this collaboration uplifts both sides of the industry, the people who make games and the people who play them.

Speaking about the collaboration, Dr. Kelli Dunlap, PsyD, Executive Director of Take This, said, “Indie developers pour so much of themselves into the games they create. Their work brings joy, connection, and meaning to players everywhere. This bundle is a testament to the power of community support and the belief that caring for mental health benefits all of us in the gaming world.”

Echoing the importance of the partnership, IGDA Foundation Executive Director Alyssa Walles said, “The Indie Allies for Impact Bundle highlights what’s possible when our industry comes together with purpose. Every contributor and supporter is helping build a more inclusive and sustainable future for game creators everywhere.”

The Indie Allies for Impact Bundle is available here. Our thanks to all participating developers who donated their games in support of Take This and the IGDA Foundation. We also extend a special thank you to Leon Richardson of Peach Garden Games, a longtime friend of both organizations, for advising us throughout the creation of the bundle.
