We’re excited to welcome Kim Packett to Take This as our Philanthropy and Partnership Officer! Kim brings over a decade of experience working in the non-profit sector and has a wealth of experience in fundraising, marketing, and corporate partnerships. With expertise in donor stewardship, database management, and relationship building, we’re looking forward to Kim strengthening our philanthropic initiatives and cultivating strategic partnerships with like-minded organizations, community leaders, and supporters.

I’m delighted to join the Take This team! It’s a dream to merge my passion for gaming and my fundraising expertise to help accelerate the mission of Take This. I’ve been gaming my whole life—first as a child, when it was my main hobby and a way to bond with my dad and sister, and now as an adult, where the virtual gaming community has been a source of camaraderie and support. Mental health is deeply important to me because I’ve seen firsthand how vital it is to have spaces where people feel safe, understood, and valued. I look forward to getting to know the Take This community and forming strong, lasting partnerships to further this important work.

About Kim:

Kim is a lifelong gamer – her first gaming consoles were the Sega Genesis and Nintendo NES. In 2020, she turned to online gaming and virtual communities to combat the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic. She also began playing Dungeons & Dragons remotely to stay connected with friends around the world. The support and camaraderie she found in the gaming community were invaluable, inspiring her to give back and contribute to that same spirit of generosity.

Before joining Take This, Kim worked at The Chris Long Foundation, where she focused on database management, online fundraising, donor stewardship, and corporate partnerships. Prior to that, she played a key role at Stratford Hall, focusing on fundraising events, grant writing, external communications, and advertising.
