My name is Brian Kunde. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a longtime Workshop Consultant here at Take This. Some of you may know me from blog posts here on our website or from my previous work with GaymerX. But what you may not know is that as of May 2026, I took over management of the WACS as the Lead Workshop Consultant! I’m honored and excited to grow our WACS program alongside such an exceptional team of clinicians and games professionals.
But enough about me. I promised to brag about WACS. So I’m going to brag about the incredible work this team does:
Education & Training
Designed and facilitated by our mental health clinicians and researchers, our workshops are tailored to the unique culture and business needs of games studios. While we’ve already got a fantastic library on topics like “Burnout” and “Designing for Psychological Safety”, our team is equipped to build a wide range of workshops on mental health to meet whatever need you may have.
Game Content
When studios are planning to include mental health themes in their projects, we provide expert guidance to ensure it has the desired impact with a team of clinical experts. In the past decade, Take This has assisted on a wide range of games, from indie mobile titles to larger AAA projects to tabletop sourcebooks.
Workplace Policy
Our team provides a culturally informed approach to employee wellness and success in games on topics like stress management, harassment, and creating more inclusive workplaces. We don’t just help teams draft new procedures or documentation; we also teach them the skills and frameworks necessary to continue evolving their policies to fit their team’s needs over time.
As a team, we’ve been discussing how best to continue growing and evolving WACS while also addressing the ongoing financial challenges facing the industry and game professionals. We don’t want cost to become a barrier for studios in need of our services. At Take This, we believe in breaking down barriers to mental health and wellness.
In that spirit, we’re offering a 15% discount on our standard fees for any service scheduled now through April 2027 that are booked with us by November 15th, 2026 on our existing series of Workshops.
