State of the Research: Gaming Disorder

By Dr. Rachel Kowert · January 20th, 2021 · News, Research

In this State of the Research report, we take a deeper look into Gaming Disorder.

Gaming Disorder is a topic I have tackled before but is worth extra attention as it remains surrounded in misinformation, misperceptions and well… moral panic. What is gaming disorder? What are signs and symptoms? How prevalent is it? Where does it come from and what is its long term impact on mental health?

All of these questions and more are answered in this first State of the Research for 2021.
